1. Replace kitchen and Conservatory and construct family kitchen.
2. Make space interesting as well as light and bright.
3. Island if possible so I can face the centre of the room when preparing food.
4. It should be warm in winter and not hot in summer.
5. Clean lines and no frills.
6. Family orientated space.
7. Budget to override timetable.
8. Finish to be more important than total area.
9. Capture rear garden.
10. Contemporary but not high fashion.
What the above does not show is that the existing Conservatory is abutted to the rear wall. This means that the new roof above the rear construction can house a number of roof lights which will throw ambient light back into the house. This in tandem with the rear foldaway doors can flood the kitchen with light
